Ninety-nine percent of Davis University students receive Financial Aid through institutional scholarships, grants, or need-based aid. Our admissions counselors and financial aid experts work closely with students to identify the most suitable financial solutions for their educational needs. To determine financial and institutional assistance, domestic applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarships Available

The Davis University Ambassador Scholarship is awarded to students who embody the spirit and values of Davis University. This scholarship is perfect for enthusiastic leaders who are eager to serve as campus ambassadors. Recipients will share their pride in the university, engage with the community, and help welcome future Sycamores.

This scholarship is awarded to full-time Davis University students (enrolled in an associate degree or diploma program) who demonstrate strong academic achievement and active community involvement.

The Davis University Transfer Scholarship is available to new transfer students who bring a college GPA of 2.5 or higher. This scholarship recognizes your past academic achievements and helps make your transition to Davis University more affordable as you pursue your degree.

The Emerging Fields Scholarship supports students entering high-demand programs where employers are urgently seeking skilled graduates. To help meet workforce needs, this scholarship is automatically applied to select programs, making it easier for you to gain the training needed in today’s fastest-growing fields.

The First Generation College Student Scholarship is designed to support students who are the first in their families to pursue a college degree. This scholarship is intended to help open doors to higher education. It empowers students to create a new legacy through academic success.

The Parent Pathway Scholarship is designed to support single parents pursuing a college degree. This scholarship offers financial assistance and encouragement to individuals balancing the responsibilities of parenting and pursuing higher education, helping them stay on track, remain enrolled, and achieve success.

Created in memory of 2001 Davis University graduate Sharon Lynn Monday, this scholarship supports associate degree students who are cancer survivors. Inspired by Sharon’s strength and academic excellence during her battle with leukemia, the scholarship can be used for tuition, books, and supplies. Award amounts vary, and applications are available through the Financial Aid Office.

This scholarship honors Tom Bulone, a beloved friend of Davis University, and is awarded to students who have lost a parent, sibling, or child to cancer. Award amounts vary, and applications are available through the Financial Aid Office.

The TPS Scholarship honors Davis University’s long-standing commitment to Toledo Public Schools and the greater Toledo community. If you graduated from a TPS high school—no matter when—you’re encouraged to apply. This scholarship celebrates our shared roots and supports your next steps in higher education.

The Turning the Tassel Scholarship is for recent high school graduates ready to take the next step in their education journey. If you’ve earned your diploma or GED within the last two years, you’re eligible to apply. This scholarship celebrates your achievement and helps launch your college career.

Ohio & Michigan High School Seniors!

The Ohio-Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools (OMACCS) is offering 147 scholarships, valued at OVER $255,000, through the OMACCS LEADS Scholarship Program for 2026.

The objective of these scholarships is to provide students with the education and training necessary to obtain a job in an Ohio or Michigan business or industry and encourage students to learn more about leadership in their communities.

• These scholarships are available to any current high school senior graduating from any Ohio or Michigan High School by June of 2026.
• The applicant needs a “C” average or better to apply. Students do not have to demonstrate financial need.
• Each applicant must be nominated by a local civic or community leader or by a current member of the Ohio or Michigan Legislature.
• Any recipient of a scholarship must meet the college or school’s entrance requirements.
• Each applicant is eligible to apply for up to three (3) scholarships, but must use a separate application for each scholarship.
• The scholarship recipient must start classes either the summer or fall term following their high school graduation.

• The scholarship amount will be allocated over the length of the program
• Scholarships are NOT transferable from one school or program to another.
• Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, processing fees, books, lab charges, and student activity fees.
• A scholarship committee will select the winner for each scholarship. The recipient must meet the requirements of the college offering the scholarship.
• Scholarship submissions are due by Friday, April 17th, 2026, and the winners will be notified no later than May 15th, 2026.

Diploma (4 Quarters)
DUT1 Medical Billing and Coding $3,000
DUT2 Medical Assisting $3,000

Associate Degree (8 Quarters)
DUT3 Business Management $5,000
DUT4 Early Childhood Education $5,000

1. Select Davis University from the participating schools listed.
2. Complete the information on the Scholarship Application and obtain the appropriate signatures.
3. Submit two current letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, employers, or others with your application.
4. A copy of your high school transcript (grades) and attendance records for the past four semesters, and verification of your Grade Point Average must be signed by the school guidance counselor or principal and must accompany each application.
5. Submit a written statement of approximately 250 words explaining why you chose a career in the field you have listed on this application and why you feel you will be successful in this field. This statement can be typed or handwritten and must be on the standard 8 1/2″ x 11” paper. Your name, address, phone number, and high school name should be printed in the upper left-hand corner.
6. Complete the Nomination Form. Send the form and a short note requesting that a civic leader from your community nominate you for this scholarship. We suggest that your note include a brief paragraph about who you are and why you want this LEADS! Scholarship. It is acceptable to send the note and the Nomination Form by email to ktrofholz@omaccs.org, fax, or U.S. Mail.
7. The Nomination Form should be returned to you or your counselor by your nominator and submitted with your application.
